1. Scope and data controller
This Privacy Policy applies to the Orthodox Religious Calendar mobile application (also displayed under localized names) and its support website. Darko Petkovski is responsible for the app's privacy practices. Contact: darkovskidev@gmail.com.
The app does not require an account and we do not ask you to provide your name, postal address or phone number to use its core features.
2. Information processed
Information stored on your device
- Selected language, notification preferences and reminder schedules.
- Premium-entitlement status and counters used to control when app screens are shown.
- Cached calendar content and images needed to operate the app efficiently.
This information generally remains on your device and can be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
Network and content-delivery information
The app retrieves calendar JSON files and images from GitHub Pages. Normal internet requests can disclose IP address, device/browser information, requested URLs and timestamps to the hosting provider. The support website is hosted with Firebase Hosting, which may process IP addresses and request logs for service operation, security and usage measurement.
Analytics
The app uses Firebase Analytics. Depending on platform configuration, Firebase may process app-instance identifiers, app interactions, app version, device model, operating-system version, language, approximate region derived from IP address and diagnostic information. We use analytics to understand app usage, maintain the service and improve features. We do not use Firebase Analytics to request your name, email address or precise location.
Advertising
The free version uses Google AdMob. AdMob and its advertising partners may process IP address, device and app information, advertising or other device identifiers where permitted, ad impressions, clicks and fraud-prevention signals to deliver, measure and protect advertising. The app does not request permission to access Apple's IDFA. Ad behavior may vary according to your region, device settings, consent choices and Google's policies.
Purchases and subscriptions
Apple App Store and Google Play process payments. We do not receive your full card or bank details. The app receives product information and purchase or entitlement status needed to start a purchase, restore eligible purchases and enable paid features. The relevant store independently processes transaction and account data under its own privacy policy.
Support communications
If you contact us, we process your email address and the contents of your message so we can answer and resolve your request.
3. Notifications
If you enable holiday reminders, the app asks for system notification permission and schedules notifications locally on your device. Reminder dates, titles and preferences are stored locally. You can disable notifications at any time in the app or in your device settings.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process information only as needed to:
- provide calendar content, reminders, purchases and support;
- remember your settings and enable paid features;
- display, measure and protect advertising;
- measure reliability and improve the app;
- prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing relies on performance of the service you request, legitimate interests in operating and securing the app, compliance with law, or consent where required.
5. Service providers and sharing
Information is shared only as necessary with these categories of recipients:
- Google Firebase for analytics and website hosting.
- Google AdMob and advertising partners for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention.
- Apple and Google for app distribution, purchases and subscription management.
- GitHub for delivery of calendar content and images.
- Authorities or professional advisers when required by law or necessary to protect rights and security.
We require service providers to handle information under their applicable privacy and security obligations. We do not directly sell users' names, email addresses or payment details. Advertising providers may process identifiers for advertising as described above; rights relating to "sale", "sharing" or targeted advertising may apply in some jurisdictions.

7. Retention and deletion
Local settings remain until you change them, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, keep appropriate records and meet legal obligations. Analytics, advertising, hosting and purchase providers retain information according to their own retention policies and legal requirements.
Because the app has no user account, we usually cannot connect provider-side pseudonymous records to a named individual. You may request assistance or deletion of information we control by following the data-deletion instructions or emailing darkovskidev@gmail.com. We may need limited information to verify and process a request.
8. Your choices and rights
- Disable notifications in the app or device settings.
- Limit ad personalization through your device and Google ad settings.
- Remove local information by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.
- Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection where provided by applicable law.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
- Complain to your local data-protection authority where that right applies.
9. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, they use contractual or other safeguards for international transfers.
10. Children
The app is not directed specifically to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
12. Policy changes
We may update this policy when features, service providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
